Pentagon Report Revealed: China is increasing its strength on the border with 1.2 lakh soldiers, tanks, howitzers, missiles and heavy weapons on LAC.

New Delhi: After the 2020 conflict in Galwan Valley, China has not reduced its military activities near the Indian border. According to the 2024 report of the US Defense Ministry, Pentagon, China has deployed its forces with 1.2 lakh soldiers, tanks, howitzers, missiles and heavy weapons on the 3,488 km long Line of Actual Control (LAC). Status has been maintained. The report states that China has increased focus on its Western Theater Command (WTC), which monitors the LAC area extending from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh.

China has expanded military infrastructure in the region, including roads, airbases, and logistics facilities. China has deployed more than 20 Combined Arms Brigades here. These brigades have been equipped with modern equipment and technology. Apart from this, drone units and missile bases have also been prepared.

According to the port, 21 rounds of Corps Commander talks have been held between India and China after the Galwan Valley conflict in 2020. Despite this, China has not reduced its advance military deployment.

Increase in China's nuclear power

China is continuously increasing its nuclear power. Pentagon also revealed that China is rapidly increasing its nuclear power. At present China has around 600 nuclear weapons. If this expansion continues at this pace, this number could reach 1,000 by 2030.

Challenges for India

These military preparations of China are posing new challenges for India. The Indian Army is also working on roads, bridges and other infrastructure projects to strengthen its position on the border. Furthermore, India is deploying modern weapons and equipment to enhance its defense capabilities.
