Punjab : In the state level conference held in Majitha, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, while laying the foundation stone of 23 rural link roads, made a historic announcement that the politics of fear and slip has ended in Punjab. He said that now the people of the state are moving forward by adopting a model focused on development, accountability and public welfare. The Chief Minister warned that the Akalis’ return to power would take the state into a dark era, with a return to sacrilege and atrocities on innocent civilians.
The work of religious institutions is to serve Guru Sahib.
Referring to the past of Majitha area, the Chief Minister termed inviting General Dyer for dinner during the Jallianwala Bagh massacre as a betrayal towards the state. He said that the job of religious institutions is to serve Guru Sahib and not to take sides of any political family. Citing initiatives like free electricity, road renovation and public bird administration in the state, he said that a new chapter of development has started in Majitha with projects costing Rs 11.32 crore.
Politics of spreading fear and panic in Majitha area
The Chief Minister referred to the politics of spreading fear and panic in Majitha area due to the collusion of the former Akali and Congress governments. He said that the public has rejected this narrow politics and has chosen a new path and now there is a rule of participation and accountability in administration. He joined S.G.P.C. Criticizing the policies of the government, he said that political interference by religious institutions has been the cause of problems in the state and the present government constituted a special investigation team to investigate the missing 328 Sarups.
Talbir Singh Gill declared candidate
The Chief Minister declared AAP leader Talbir Singh Gill as the candidate from Majitha for the Assembly elections 2027. He told the people that now they will no longer be petitioners before the government, but will become active participants in the administration. Referring to electricity, irrigation facilities and special steps for border farmers, he said that now farmers will get the opportunity to do farming on their land without any hindrance.
Funds looted by former governments now…
Laying special emphasis on the renovation of roads in Majitha and Punjab, the Chief Minister said that maintenance of link roads would be ensured in the next five years and for this, a cost saving of Rs 226.89 crore was achieved by using Artificial Intelligence based survey. He said that the funds looted by the previous governments are now being used for the development of Punjab and the welfare of the people. On this occasion, Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, MLA Sarwan Singh Dhunn, senior AAP leader Talbir Singh Gill and other dignitaries were present.
