Bangalore Weather: People troubled by heavy rains in Bengaluru, low lying areas in the grip of waterlogging.

Bengaluru: After heavy rain in the past few days, heavy rain continues again today. Recently, rain had created flood situation in many areas, causing huge damage in tech hubs and residential areas. Recently, heavy rains in Bengaluru led to flood situation in the city, due to which life has been badly affected.

This city, known as the 'Silicon Valley' of India, which is known for its technological proficiency, is now in the news due to submerged roads and flood-affected areas. Due to heavy rains, many major roads were waterlogged, due to which the traffic system came to a standstill and people had to face a lot of problems in commuting.

Bengaluru's flagship Manyata Tech Park, one of India's largest office complexes, was also not untouched by the rain. Incessant rains submerged the entire 300-acre campus, turning it into a “swimming pool”. Videos of the flooded tech park quickly went viral on social media, showing how the rain disrupted daily operations.

However, as soon as the rain subsided, the park management started relief work. Flood water was pumped out and flooded roads were cleared so employees could return to work. The rains affected many parts of the city, but the Yelahanka area was badly hit by floods.

Last Tuesday, 73.5 mm rainfall was recorded in Chaudeshwari Nagar and 65.5 mm rainfall was recorded in Jakkur area. This heavy rain caused flooding across the region, leaving many houses under water. The disaster management team of Bengaluru Municipal Corporation (BBMP) has started rapid relief work in the flood affected areas.

According to the information, till now efforts have been made to deal with the problem of flooding in more than 100 houses. According to the BBMP, a total of 142 houses were submerged and 39 trees were uprooted. However, as part of relief work, 26 fallen trees have been removed and help has been provided to 52 flood affected places in the city.

Due to rain in Bengaluru, the ongoing India-New Zealand match at Chinnaswamy Stadium has also been disrupted several times and the threat of rain is still looming over the game, due to which the game has to be stopped again and again.
