People were shocked when lightning fell on Burj Khalifa, video went viral amid Iran attack

New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing tension between Iran and Israel-America in the Gulf region, another shocking scene was seen in Dubai on Friday night. Lightning fell from the sky on the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa. This scene, which happened amidst heavy rain and storm, is becoming increasingly viral on social media.

Lightning attack during storm and rain

The weather changed suddenly in many parts of UAE. Heavy rain, storm and lightning started in Abu Dhabi, Sharjahan and Dubai. The video showing lightning falling on the top of Burj Khalifa has been filmed from a long distance. Flashing lightning in the dark sky is seen touching Burj Khalifa.

Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed also shared the video of this scene, after which it became even more viral. Many users shared this and wrote, “The power of nature is beyond human engineering.”

It’s a relief, no harm

The good thing is that no person was hurt due to lightning nor was there any damage to the building. The best lightning rods have already been installed in Burj Khalifa. This 828 meter high building, being the highest point in the sky, often becomes the target of lightning, but the protection system is so strong that the lightning gets absorbed into the rod and does not cause any damage.

Scary atmosphere amid Iranian attacks

A few days before this incident, Iran had carried out drone and missile attacks in Dubai. Videos of explosion and smoke near Burj Khalifa also went viral. Airports had to be closed for some time. In such a situation, this scene of current storm and lightning looks even more scary. People are calling it an “apocalyptic scene”.

The video created a stir

People are surprised after seeing the video on social media. Someone is writing, “Got goosebumps after seeing this”, while someone is saying, “Nature has also shown its strength amidst the Iranian attacks.” This video has been filmed from a distance, in which the flash of lightning amidst the dark clouds is making Burj Khalifa more grand. At present the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain and storm in Dubai. People are advising to stay at home.
