Peshkar caught taking bribe of Rs 1.70 lakh, action in Munger Commissioner office

Sanjay Singh, Patna. Thursday was no less than a film scene in the administrative corridors of Munger. While on one hand the files were running as usual, on the other hand a sudden incident happened which shook the entire system. The team of the Surveillance Department laid such a trap in the Divisional Commissioner’s office that the bribery game was caught red-handed.

 

For a long time, complaints were being received against Mukesh Kumar, a businessman posted in the office of Divisional Commissioner Prem Singh Meena in Munger, of demanding money in the name of ‘setting’ in a case. One victim gathered courage and contacted the surveillance department and then a planned operation began. The monitoring team laid the trap. As soon as the victim handed over Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand to the accused, the team caught the businessman Mukesh Kumar red handed. After this there was chaos in the commissioner’s office. The team has taken Mukesh Kumar into custody and started interrogation.

Departmental sources believe that in such cases, often a person is just a link, whereas the real game can be much bigger. This action is one of the most talked about trap operations of the surveillance department in Munger. The special thing is that this raid took place directly in the office from where administrative decisions are taken.
