Recently, investment firm CLSA had said that the prices of petrol and diesel may come down after October 5, 2024. At the same time, Swiss brokerage firm USB has also estimated that the government may soon reduce the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 to 3 per liter.

Oil marketing companies are earning a profit of Rs 10-15 per liter on both these fuels. However, no official information has come yet about this.
