UP Petrol Diesel Price Today: Nayara Energy’s move to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel has increased the pressure on government oil marketing companies. Despite falling crude oil prices, these companies have not made any change in the retail prices of the fuel.
This reduction in prices has again raised hopes that public sector companies can finally pass on some of the benefits of low international oil prices to customers.
On Wednesday, Rosneft-backed Nayara Energy cut petrol prices by ₹ 5 per liter and diesel by ₹ 3 per liter at its nearly 7,000 fuel stations.
This reduction in prices has come at a time when global crude oil prices have returned to the level before the recent conflict in West Asia. Brent crude for September delivery was trading at about $72 a barrel on Wednesday, close to pre-conflict levels.
