Petrol Price Hike: The prices of petrol and diesel have started increasing in India. Premium petrol brands like Speed and Power have increased their prices by ₹2.09 per litre. This increase has been implemented in different cities. The revised rates came into effect from March 20, 2026. People have got a big shock due to the increase in petrol prices. In fact, now the impact of the Iran-Israel war is beginning to be seen on India. Earlier, an increase in LPG prices was seen.

After an increase of more than two rupees in the prices of premium petrol, its price in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, has now become Rs 103.92 per liter. At the same time, the price of premium petrol in Pune has increased to ₹ 113.77. However, there has been no increase in the prices of normal petrol. Globally, due to the ongoing conflict in Iran, crude oil prices have crossed $ 100 per barrel.
According to dealers, prices of branded fuels like HPCL’s ‘Power Petrol’ and IOCL’s ‘XP95’ have increased. Premium petrol is generally used for better engine performance and higher mileage.
