Prices of petrol increased by Rs 7 and diesel by Rs 25, this petroleum company increased the prices from April 1.

New Delhi. Due to the ongoing US-Israel war on Iran, global crude oil prices remain above $100 per barrel. Its direct effect is now visible in India. From Wednesday, April 1, private fuel retailer Shell India has drastically increased the prices of petrol and diesel at its outlets. Before this, Nayara Energy Petrol Price has also increased the price of oil.

What is the price of petrol and diesel at Shell pumps?

Petrol prices at Shell outlets in Bengaluru have increased by Rs 7.41 per liter. Now the price of normal petrol has become Rs 119.85 and the price of premium power variant has become Rs 129.85 per liter. Diesel prices have seen an even steeper increase of Rs 25.01 per litre. Ordinary diesel has increased to Rs 123.52 per liter and premium diesel has reached Rs 133.52 per liter.

It is noteworthy that even two weeks ago, Shell had increased the prices of petrol by Rs 2 to Rs 2.50 per liter (about Rs 108.50) and diesel by Rs 93.50 by making minor amendments at some filling stations.

What is the price of petro-diesel on Naira Energy?

Before Shell, on March 27, Nayara Energy had increased the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 3 per liter respectively. Now in Maharashtra, the price of petrol at Naira pumps has increased from Rs 103.82 to Rs 108.82 per liter, while diesel is being sold at Rs 93.09 per liter, up from Rs 90.09. Nayara, which operates around 7,000 fuel stations across India, said the tough decision has been taken due to ‘unprecedented challenges’ in fuel supply and distribution.

The war, now in its second month, has put global oil markets under stress. Since February 28, Brent crude has increased by almost 60 percent. This is mainly due to fears of disruption of supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, as Iran has closed this narrow oil corridor to the US, Israel and their allies.
