Petrol tension is over! Hero launches India’s first Flex Fuel bike, now Splendor and HF Deluxe will also run on ethanol
Amidst the continuously rising petrol prices in India, Hero MotoCorp has taken a step to provide great relief to the common people. The company has launched the country’s first Flex Fuel motorcycles Hero Splendor Plus Flex Fuel and Hero HF Deluxe Flex Fuel. Now these bikes will run easily not only on petrol but also on ethanol mixed fuel. This will reduce the burden on the pocket and will also benefit the environment.
Hero created new history, launched Flex Fuel bike
During a special event held in New Delhi, Hero MotoCorp introduced two of its most popular bikes with Flex Fuel technology. Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri were also present at the launch event. The company says that this step will prove important in making India self-reliant in the energy sector.
How much is the price of new Splendor and HF Deluxe?
If we talk about the price, the starting ex-showroom price of Hero Splendor Plus Flex Fuel has been kept at Rs 82,710. Whereas the starting ex-showroom price of Hero HF Deluxe Flex Fuel is Rs 72,792. The company has launched both these bikes in the market keeping in mind the budget of the common man so that more and more customers can take advantage of this new technology.
After all, what is Flex Fuel technology?
Flex Fuel technology is a system in which the bike can run on fuel that is a mixture of petrol and ethanol. Hero’s new bikes support fuel ranging from E20 to E85. That means 20 percent to 85 percent ethanol can be mixed in them. This will reduce petrol consumption and promote clean fuel in the country.
What will be special in Hero Splendor Plus Flex Fuel?
The new Splendor Plus Flex Fuel has a 97.2cc single cylinder engine which produces about 8 horsepower and 8.3 Nm torque on E85 fuel. It also has Hero’s famous i3S Idle Stop-Start technology which helps in giving better mileage. Also features like digital-analog instrument cluster, tubeless tyres, side stand engine cut-off and updated ECU are also available.
Why will HF Deluxe Flex Fuel become people’s choice?
Hero HF Deluxe Flex Fuel also comes with a 97.2cc engine and can run on fuel ranging from E20 to E85. It also has digital-analog meter, tubeless tyre, side stand engine cut-off and new fuel system. This can prove to be a great option for those buying a reliable bike in a low budget. In view of the increasing petrol expenses and pollution, this new Flex Fuel bike of Hero can bring a big change in the Indian two-wheeler market.
