Palamau A junior engineer of PHED department was caught in an objectionable situation with a married woman in Neura village located in Chainpur police station area. After this, the villagers present at the spot beat up the JE severely. It is being told that the name of the accused junior engineer is Satish Kumar and he was transferred to Medininagar only six months ago. The woman works as a social worker in the same department.

Husband was already suspicious, suddenly returned from the feast

It is being told that the woman had sent her husband and child on a feast to a nearby village and had asked herself to stay at home. The husband was already suspicious of his wife’s behaviour. He left home to formally attend the feast, but returned quietly after some time. On reaching home, he saw an unknown bike parked outside. This deepened his suspicion. When he knocked on the door, the wife refused to open the door from inside. After this he started making noise, due to which the nearby villagers started gathering on the spot.

After the villagers gathered and the pressure increased, the door was finally opened. Satish Kumar, a junior engineer working in a government department, was present inside. The villagers expressed anger after seeing both of them together. Within no time the matter heated up and JE was allegedly beaten up. After the incident, the commotion continued in the village for a long time. The villagers asked the woman with whom she wanted to live next. According to the information, the woman refused to live with her husband and expressed her desire to live with her alleged lover.

Doubt over legal action, police gave information

Panchayat and possible legal action are being discussed at the local level regarding the matter. However, till now no written application has been given by any party. Police say that further legal action will be taken only after receiving the application. At present the situation in the village is said to be normal, but this incident remains a topic of discussion in the entire area.
