Shubman Gill achieved a big achievement, but just one step left with Chris Gayle

Delhi: Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill made a special achievement in the match played against Mumbai Indians during IPL 2025. In this match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gill created history by becoming the second batsman to complete the fastest 1000 runs on one venue in the IPL.

Gill achieved this achievement in just 20 innings, so that he came second in this list after West Indies explosive batsman Chris Gayle. Gayle completed 1000 runs in 19 innings at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

In this match, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan gave Gujarat Titans a great start. Together, both of them added 66 runs in the powerplay without losing any wickets, which was the first wicketlass powerplay of this season.

However, Shubman Gill was dismissed soon after making this record named. Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya sent Gill to the pavilion in the 9th over. Gill scored 38 runs in 27 balls, including 1 six and 4 fours.
