Desk: The dreadful consequences of another live-in relationship have come to light. In Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, the body of a woman was found from the fridge after six months. Her married lover has been arrested for murder. The surprising thing is that the family of another tenant lives right next to the room where the dead body was kept, but till now no one had any idea about it. Now the secret was revealed when the fridge smelled when it was closed.

The victim has been identified as Pinky alias Pratibha Prajapati. Police have arrested her lover Sanjay Patidar, who has confessed to his crime. Businessman Dhirendra Srivastava has a two-storey house in Vrindavan Dham, Debas. He has been in Dubai for six months. On the ground floor, there is a room, kitchen and toilet on one side, two bedrooms and hall on the right side. There is a staircase between the two to go up.

According to police officials, in July last year, a person named Balveer Rajput took the ground floor on rent. But he was not able to use those two rooms which were locked by the old tenant. Patidar had vacated the flat in June itself, but he had kept some things including the fridge locked in two rooms. He kept telling the landlord on the phone that he would come soon to take back his belongings.

Here, Balveer needed those rooms so he talked to the landlord. The landlord broke the lock and asked to use the room. After this, when Balveer broke the lock on Thursday evening, he found that the fridge was still on. Believing that the old tenant had carelessly left the fridge on, they switched it off. Then they closed the room thinking that they would remove the remaining items the next morning.

On Friday morning an unbearable smell started coming from the room. Some people called the police. When the police reached the spot and opened the fridge, they found a decomposed body. Pinky's body was wrapped in a sheet. When the police interrogated the neighbors, Sanjay Patidar's name came up. People told that he has not been seen there since March 2024. Police searched and arrested Patidar.

During interrogation, Patidar told that he was in a live-in relationship with Pratibha for five years. He also stayed in Ujjain for three years. Patidar told that he is married and has two children. But Pratibha was pressurizing him for marriage. Patidar said that on the day of the murder, he tried to convince her a lot but when Pratibha did not agree to his insistence, he strangulated her to death.

The accused told that he along with one of his associates Vinod Dave committed this crime. To avoid the smell, he put the dead body in the refrigerator and turned it on high mode. Vinod is lodged in Rajasthan jail in another criminal case. The police is preparing to interrogate him also.
