Pipri Police got success, 02 accused arrested for arranging child marriage of a minor girl, taking her hostage by intimidating the family and making threats.

Pawan Kumar, son of late Kamal Dharikar, resident of Pipri police station, resident of slum ward no. 01 Turra district, Sonbhadra, was informed on 21.05.2026 at Pipri police station that his wife along with the children had gone away from home without informing, in relation to which a missing person was registered at Pipri police station.
Taking immediate and serious action, the applicant’s wife and children were recovered safely on 23.05.2026 by Pipri police station. On returning home, the applicant’s wife told that she and her children were lured by a person named Renukoot and Baba Ji, resident of Kameshwar Baitha, to Aligarh, where her minor daughter, aged about 13 years, was married to a person named Lokesh.
The victim also told that she was intimidated in Aligarh and was being threatened with death if she gave information to anyone. When she got the opportunity, the victim informed her husband through Lokesh’s mobile number, on the basis of which he was recovered safely by the police team.
On the basis of the above information, case was registered against Police Station Pipri under FIR No. 102/2026 Section 61(2), 87, 137(2), 351(3) BNS vs. 01. Kameshwar Baitha son of unknown resident Renukut police station Pipri district Sonbhadra, 02. Baba Ji son of unknown resident unknown, 03. Lokesh son of unknown resident unknown. During the investigation, sections 64(2)(e), 65(1) BNS, 5(L)/6 POCSO Act and 9/10 Child Marriage Prohibition Act were added to the case.
In continuation of the campaign being run by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma against crime and criminals in the district, under the efficient direction of Additional Superintendent of Police Headquarters Anil Kumar and Area Officer Pipri Harsh Pandey and under the leadership of Police Station Head Pipri, the police station Pipri took effective action and on the information of the informer, on 28.05.2026, 02 accused related to MO No. 102/2026 were arrested around the time. Arrested near Naukutiya turn at 09:45. Necessary legal action was taken against the arrested accused and they were sent to the court.
Details of the arrested accused – Lokesh Kumar alias Muchchi Sharma, son of Brijesh alias Vijua Sharma, resident of village Khyamai Chowki Birpura police station Gabhana district Aligarh, age around 19 years, Kameshwar Baitha son of Late Bhulan Baitha, resident of village Sahijana Sahar Post Kalyanpur police station Garhwa district Garhwa, Jharkhand, hall address – slum behind Railway Colony RPF Turra police station Pipri district Sonbhadra, age approx 59 years.
On interrogating the arrested accused, the fact came to light that the accused used to establish contact with the people of western districts for the purpose of getting financial benefits and after taking huge amount of money from them, they used to seduce the poor and minor girls of their area and take them with them. After this, the girls were taken away from their families to other districts and married by luring them.
The arresting police team mainly included Police Station Head Rajesh Ji Choubey, Pipri District Sonbhadra, Police Inspector Heera Lal Yadav, Inspector Prabhu Narayan, Inspector Rohit Yadav.
