Mumbai Mumbai. Haryana Steelers registered their third consecutive win in PKL Season 11 by defeating UP Yoddha at the GMCB Indoor Stadium in Gachibowli, Hyderabad on Wednesday. Haryana Steelers defeated UP Yoddha by the score of 30-28 thanks to brilliant performances from Vinay, Sanjay and Shivam Patare. Although both the teams had a slow start, Haryana Steelers took the early lead and took the lead in the first few minutes. Did it. As always, Haryana Steelers were solid in defense and got the better of UP Yoddha.
Midway through the first half, Haryana Steelers led 5-1, however, India's Super Raid gave UP Yoddha the lead with 9 minutes remaining in the match. After this, Haryana Steelers took control of the game with an early high 5 from defender Sanjay, which helped his team take the lead. At the half-time break, Haryana Steelers were leading with a scoreline of 11-9.
After the break, UP Yoddha made a comeback and Bhavani Rajput tried to take the lead for her team with some quick raids in the first few minutes. However, Haryana Steelers bounced back soon after as Vinay, Naveen and Sanjay delivered consistent performances. As the match reached the half-hour mark, Haryana Steelers continued to dominate the box seat.
In the last ten minutes, Vinay was closing in on his Super 10 and just 5 minutes before the end of the match, Mohammadreza Shadloi all out to UP Yoddha, helping Haryana Steelers extend their lead. However, in the closing stages of the game, UP Yoddha pulled out a trump card in the form of Gagan Gowda, who scored 9 points in a short period of time, taking his team back into the contest. 2 minutes before the end of the match, Haryana Steelers took the lead by 2 minutes and the match became exciting.
However, Haryana Steelers performed too well for their opponents on the night and they came out with a win in a closely contested match.
