Planning to study abroad? Know all about Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation Scholarship

New Delhi: Studying in an international university is the dream of many aspirants as it offers a plethora of opportunities such as access to world-class education, exposure to cultural diversity, a global network and a vast career option. However, managing the cost of living and studying abroad often shatters the dreams of many aspirants. To aid in such a scenario, candidates can apply for scholarships offered by the government and also by other means. One of such scholarship is provided by the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation to Indian students pursuing higher education in the US, UK and Europe.

Inlaks Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates need to have a first degree from a recognized Indian university.
  • Indian passport holders who have a UG degree from an abroad university should have resided continuously, been employed, or have been studying in India for a minimum of two years after graduation.
  • Inlaks Scholarship is open for Indian passport holders who are residents of India.
  • Those who are already studying or have started their PG at an abroad institute are not eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who have an English language certification as a part of the offer letter need to have the certificate before applying.
  • Those who have a PG degree from an abroad institution are not eligible.
  • Candidates need to have a minimum of 65 per cent academic grade, 6.8 CGPA, or 2.6 GPA from a recognized institute for humanities, social sciences, fine arts, law, architecture and related subjects.
  • A minimum 70 per cent academic grade, CGPA 7.2  or 2.8 GPA from a recognized institution is required for sciences, mathematics, environment and related subjects.

The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation gives a maximum funding of USD 100,000 which covers the tuition fee, living expenses, healthcare and one-way airfare. Candidates need to show evidence of the total funding required to complete the course if the study exceeds the specified funding amount.

The course of study should not include field trips to India during the tenure of the study. If the scholarship does not begin within nine months of the award, then the scholarship will be forfeited.
