PM Kisan 23rd Installment: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme during an event in Tarakeswar, West Bengal on Saturday, June 20. Under this new installment, an amount of more than ₹18,880 crore has been sent directly to the bank accounts of more than 9.44 crore farmer families across the country through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Under PM Kisan Yojana, financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 is given to eligible farmers every year in three equal installments (each installment of ₹ 2,000). This amount is sent directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries every four months. There can be many reasons for not receiving the 23rd installment of PM Kisan. Common reasons are: incomplete e-KYC, non-verification of land records, and incorrect personal or bank information in the application.
How to check the status of 23rd installment of PM Kisan?
1. Check installment status on PM-Kisan website
The official PM-Kisan portal gives real-time information about your payment status.
- Go to the official website pmkisan.gov.in.
- Click on ‘Know Your Status’ on the homepage.
- Enter your Aadhaar number, PM-Kisan ID or registered mobile number.
- Enter the captcha and click on ‘Get Status’.
- You will be able to see whether the 23rd installment has been credited or not, the date of transfer and your beneficiary status.
2. Use PM-Kisan mobile app
- Farmers who prefer to get information from mobile can use the official app.
- Install PM-KISAN mobile app from Google Play Store.
- Open the app and select “Beneficiary Status”.
- Enter your Aadhaar or mobile number.
- The app will show the status of all previously credited installments, including the latest installment.
3. Check your bank account or SMS alerts
The installment is directly credited to your bank account which is linked to PM-Kisan. Usually, farmers receive SMS from the bank to confirm the deposit of money.
- If you haven’t received an SMS:
- Visit your nearest bank branch
- Get your passbook updated
- Or check your balance through your Aadhaar linked fingerprint scan through Mobile Banking / Micro ATM / AePS services.
What to do if you haven’t received payment
To get help and know the reason, you can call PM-KISAN helpline number 1800-180-1551 (toll-free). You can also visit your nearest CSC (Common Service Centre) for help in e-KYC and application updates. After this, lodge the complaint on CPGRAMS portal. A fee of Rs 50 is charged for each complaint.
