The campaign to make Farmer ID is going on in the state, but the ID of many farmers has not been ready yet. The reasons for this are said to be non-registration of names in the Jamabandi, lack of partition deed, pending process of name transfer and technical problems. Due to this, many farmers were worried about the fear of stopping the amount of Samman Nidhi.

Samman Nidhi will be available every quarter
According to the department, the Central Government provides financial assistance of Rs 2000 to the farmers every three months, which will continue in future also. Along with this, under the Jannayak Kisan Samman Yojana of the state government, additional Rs 1000 per quarter is being given to the eligible farmers.
Farmer ID is necessary for further work
The Agriculture Department has also said that at present farmers will continue to get the benefits of the scheme even without Farmer ID, but in the coming time, it will be necessary to get an ID to avail the benefits of the schemes continuously. Till now, IDs of 45.18 lakh farmers have been made in the state and the process for the remaining farmers is going on. Farmer ID will make it easier for farmers to avail benefits of other schemes including KCC loan.
Focus on GI tag and rural markets also
The department said that a proposal has been sent to get GI tag for Jardalu Malda of Digha, Sonalika rice of Shahabad, Titiya paddy of Munger and Jardalu mango of Samastipur. Besides, development work of 934 rural markets is also going on.
