PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 23rd Installment: On June 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release direct financial assistance worth more than ₹18,880 crore to 9.44 crore farmers of the country from Hooghly in West Bengal. More than 51.28 lakh farmers of Gujarat will receive direct financial assistance of more than Rs 1,025 crore under the 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme.

According to official information, under this installment, more than Rs 18,880 crore will be transferred nationwide. This amount will be given to more than 9.44 crore farmer families across India through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

PM Modi will talk to farmers online

This installment will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries without any intermediary. In Gujarat, the state-level ‘PM Kisan Utsav Diwas’ was organized at the Town Hall in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The implementation of this scheme will be marked with. Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani and Minister of State Ramesh Katara will be present in this program. Under the national programme, the Prime Minister will release the installments while addressing the beneficiaries during the event held in West Bengal and will interact online with farmers across the country.

More than 11 crore farmers benefited

According to official data, 22 installments have been disbursed so far since the launch of the PM-Kisan scheme, and more than 11 crore farmers across India have received cumulative assistance of over Rs 4.28 lakh crore. So far, more than 69 lakh farmer families have received an amount of more than Rs 23,083 crore under this scheme in Gujarat.

The state government has made coordinated arrangements across Gujarat to ensure wide participation. The program will be telecast live in Krishi Vigyan Kendras, Mandi, Farmer Producer Organizations, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samriddhi Kendras and Primary Agricultural Credit Societies. Programs have also been organized at the district, taluka and village levels to facilitate viewing of the Prime Minister’s address. -with agency input
