Expressing deep grief over his demise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the Indian music world has lost a priceless heritage. Asha Bhosle, one of the greatest singers of modern Indian music, died on Sunday at the age of 92. It is being told that on Saturday night he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to heart and respiratory problems, where he was undergoing treatment in the ICU. However, despite all the efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved.

His son Anand Bhosale confirmed this sad news on Sunday afternoon. He told that those who want to pay their last respects can reach his house at 11 am on Monday. After this, his last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park at 4 pm.

President Draupadi Murmu expressed condolences

Meanwhile, President Draupadi Murmu also condoled the demise of Asha Bhosle. He said that his departure has created a big void in the music world. The President said in his message that Asha Bhosle’s illustrious career reflects an entire era of Indian music. His melodious and evergreen voice has entertained people for generations and enriched music.

President Murmu also said that he will always remember the memories of his personal meetings with Asha Bhosle. He said that Asha Bhosle lived her life on her own terms and created her own identity as an artist.
