PM Modi congratulated on peaceful elections in Nepal, said – India will work together for peace and prosperity

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi heartily congratulated the people and government of Nepal for conducting successful and peaceful elections. He said that it is heartening to see that his brothers and sisters of Nepal exercised their democratic right with full enthusiasm. The Prime Minister said that this historic achievement is a proud moment in Nepal’s democratic journey. He said that as a close friend and neighbour, India will continue to work with the people of Nepal and their new government with full commitment to establish new dimensions of peace, progress and prosperity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated the countrymen amid the announcement of election results in neighboring country Nepal. He wrote in the message released on the X handle, ‘Hearty congratulations to the people and government of the country on the successful and peaceful conduct of elections in Nepal.’

RSP benefited from social media strategy and funding from migrants

The support of migrants also plays a role behind Nepal’s historical mandate. According to reports related to the politics and election results of this country, funding received from Nepali diaspora played a big role in promoting the election campaign of Balendra Shah and Rashtriya Swatantra Party. RSP officials say that huge donations were received from Nepalese outside Nepal, especially in America. This helped in big rallies and election campaigns. As part of his media strategy, he gave a big speech almost every eight days. A social media team of more than 650 people took his messages across the country.

Counting of votes can be completed by March 9

The counting of votes for the general elections held in Nepal is expected to be completed by March 9. Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari said that the Election Commission is continuously monitoring the entire process. He said that the results will be released within 24 hours after the counting of 165 seats is completed. This time the Commission is trying to make the counting of votes faster and more transparent than before. It took about two weeks for all the results of the 2022 general elections to be declared. However, this time the Election Commission claims that the results will be declared much sooner than before.
