Delhi became the country’s first capital with ‘Ring Metro’: PM Modi gave a gift of Rs 33,500 crore, handed over the keys of flats to women.

Pm Modi Delhi Metro Ring Corridor Inauguration: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, PM Narendra Modi has given a gift of Rs 33,500 crore to Delhi. This includes metro projects worth more than Rs 18,300 crore, while residential projects worth Rs 15,200 crore are also included. Prime Minister Modi today flagged off two corridors of Delhi Metro. At the same time, the foundation of three other corridors was also laid. With this, Delhi has become the country’s first capital with ‘Ring Metro’.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the people on this occasion. He said that today is International Women’s Day. Today India is writing a new saga of women empowerment. The capital is developing under the successful leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Be it politics, administration, science, sports or social service, India’s women power is moving ahead with new energy in every field. I congratulate the women power of the country today on Women’s Day and accept the debt for their immense contribution in the development of the nation.

PM Modi said, ‘Today we all have gathered here to give new impetus to development in Delhi. The result of the new hope and determination with which you people formed the BJP government in Delhi a year ago is visible here today. From the expansion of the Metro to the residences of thousands of government employees, the facilities in the country’s capital are continuously expanding, giving a new strength. When any person in the world thinks of a huge democracy like India, the picture of Delhi often comes to his mind. Delhi is not only the capital of India, it is also the identity of India, it is a symbol of India’s energy. The development of Delhi is not just the development of one city, it is linked to the image of the entire country.

New section of metro starts from today

PM Modi further said, ‘The new section of the metro which has started today is going to provide great convenience to lakhs of people of the capital. Especially for the people of East and North-East Delhi, now the daily journey will be easier than before. With all this, it will become easier to travel to different parts of Delhi from NCR cities like Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad and Gurugram.

PM Modi attacked Aam Aadmi Party

PM Modi said, ‘Today’s program is also a proof of how important it was that Delhi got rid of the disaster a year ago. If there was no emergency government here, this Metro Phase 4 project would have been completed long ago. But those involved in the disaster had put aside the convenience of lakhs of people of Delhi for their political interests. After the formation of BJP government here, the all-round development of Delhi has gained momentum. The way of disaster people was, less work and more excuses. Today there is a model of development in Delhi, excuses stop, work begins. Earlier projects used to languish in files, today projects come on the ground.

Keys of GPRA flats handed over to women beneficiaries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) colonies in Sarojini Nagar and handed over the keys of new Type-5 houses to the women beneficiaries. On this occasion, PM Modi also interacted with working women. The GPRA redevelopment projects at prime locations like Sarojini Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Kasturba Nagar and Srinivaspuri are part of the government’s ambitious program to modernize colonies and create world-class infrastructure for government employees and administrative offices.

Redevelopment took place with Rs 15,200 crore

Under the GPRA plan, these projects worth Rs 15,200 crore have been redeveloped through an innovative self-sustaining financial model, which ensures that the redevelopment is carried out without burdening the government exchequer. Under this model the government is developing and monetizing a limited portion of the project area for commercial and residential space, so that the entire project can be financed. The revenue generated from this is being used for redevelopment of modern government housing, related infrastructure and public facilities.
