PM Modi gave Diwali gift of Rs 6100 crore to the countrymen from Varanasi, know which projects got the green signal
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Varanasi on Sunday i.e. 20 October to give the gift of Diwali to the country. Let us tell you, after becoming the MP and Prime Minister from Varanasi for the third time, PM Modi gifted development projects to the people of Kashi. From Kashi, PM Modi gave Diwali gifts to the countrymen by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 23 projects worth Rs 6,611.18 crore.
PM Modi inaugurated RJ Shankar Eye Hospital run by Kanchi Math, Varanasi. According to people associated with Kanchi Math, this hospital will benefit people living in 20 districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh as well as the border areas of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Right after this, PM Modi later inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 23 development projects worth Rs 6700 crore dedicated to the nation in Sigra area. 16 development projects worth more than Rs 3,200 crore have been earmarked for Varanasi. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the expansion of the runway and construction of a new terminal building at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi, estimated to cost about Rs 2,870 crore.
In Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today is a very auspicious day for Kashi. I have just come back from inaugurating a big eye hospital. RJ Shankar Eye Hospital is going to help the elderly and children. With Baba's blessings, projects worth thousands of crores of rupees have been inaugurated and foundation stones laid here. Along with this, different airports have been inaugurated today in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. At present, Varanasi has got projects in every sector (education, skill development, sports, health and tourism). All these projects have brought many new employment opportunities along with facilities for our youth.
