PM Modi will be on Gujarat tour on March 31, will lay the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 19800 crore

PM Modi Gujarat Tour: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Gujarat on March 31, where he is going to give a big developmental gift to the state. During the program organized at Vav-Tharad, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of central and state government projects worth a total of Rs 19,806.9 crore. Many senior officials including CM Bhupendra Patel and Harsh Sanghvi will be present on this occasion.

Joint Development Initiative of Center and State

This big event includes projects worth about Rs 10,921 crore of the Ministries of Energy, Road Transport and Railways of the Central Government. At the same time, works worth about Rs 8,886 crore under various departments of Gujarat government like urban development, water resources, health, tourism and tribal development will also get momentum. This coordination is being considered to give a new direction to the overall development of the state.

Global center of green energy in Kutch

The world’s largest Hybrid Renewable Energy Park being developed in Khavda in Kutch district of Gujarat will be the main attraction of this tour. Three projects costing about Rs 3,645 crore will be inaugurated. Through these projects, thousands of megawatts of green energy will be connected to the national grid, which will strengthen India’s energy security and promote clean energy.

Road and highway network will get speed up

Many important projects will also be started under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Projects like Idar-Bardoli four-lane bypass and Dholavira-Mouwana-Wova-Santalpur road will strengthen regional connectivity. Apart from this, four packages of Ahmedabad-Dholera corridor will be inaugurated, which is expected to give new impetus to industrial and logistics activities.

Expansion in railway infrastructure

Projects worth about Rs 891 crore will be inaugurated under the Railway Ministry. These include important works like Himmatnagar-Khedbrahma broad gauge line, expansion of Gandhidham-Adipur rail line and Kalanus-Jamnagar doubling. Besides, a new train service will also be started from Khedbrahma, which will provide great convenience to the local passengers.

Expansion of modern facilities in cities

Urban development is also being given a new direction in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Projects worth about Rs 5,295.5 crore include development of Kharikat Canal, modernization of BRTS and AMTS bus services, new Subhash Bridge, EWS housing, sports complex and auditorium. Projects like sewage treatment plant and storm water system in Gandhinagar will strengthen the infrastructure of the city.

Dream of housing in rural areas fulfilled

The Prime Minister will also provide griha pravesh to 38,949 families in new houses in 34 districts of Gujarat under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. This initiative is being considered an important step towards rural development and improving the living standards of the people.

Overall, this visit will prove to be a major step towards bringing comprehensive changes in the infrastructure, energy, transportation and housing sectors of Gujarat. These projects will not only boost the economic activities of the state but will also create new employment opportunities.
