PM Modi inaugurates Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow on the birth anniversary of ‘Bharat Ratna’ Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Lucknow, 25 December. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated Rashtra Prerna Sthal, a major national memorial complex dedicated to honor the life, legacy and ideals of former ‘Bharat Ratna’ Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the occasion of his 101st birth anniversary. During this, PM Modi was accompanied by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other senior leaders. The crowd present welcomed him warmly by waving the tricolor and raising slogans in his honour.

The cost of Rashtra Prerna Sthal spread over an area of ​​65 acres is Rs 230 crores.

According to an official statement, Rashtra Prerna Sthal has been developed as a landmark national monument and inspirational complex of permanent national importance. Built at a cost of approximately Rs 230 crore and spread over an area of ​​65 acres, the complex is envisioned as a permanent national asset, dedicated to promoting leadership values, national service, cultural consciousness and public inspiration.

 

65 feet high bronze statues of three personalities installed in the campus

The complex houses 65 feet tall bronze statues of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, symbolizing their significant contributions to India’s political thinking, nation building and public life.

State-of-the-art museum in the shape of a lotus flower

It also houses a state-of-the-art museum, designed in a lotus flower-shaped structure, spread over approximately 98,000 square feet. The museum showcases India’s national journey and the contributions of these visionary leaders through advanced digital and immersive technology, providing an engaging and educational experience for visitors.

The inauguration of the Rashtra Prerna Sthal is an important step towards preserving and promoting the ideals of selfless leadership and good governance, and is expected to serve as a source of inspiration for the present and future generations.
