PM Modi Israel Visit: Israel’s Hexagon Alliance and turmoil in Pakistan, know what is Netanyahu’s masterplan!

Just before this visit, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has proposed a very ambitious and strategic ‘Hexagon of Alliances’. By keeping India at the center of this alliance, Netanyahu has not only given new heights to bilateral relations, but has also given neighboring country Pakistan sleepless nights. What is this ‘Hexagon’ alliance? According to Netanyahu’s vision, it is a strategic framework of six regions/countries that will strengthen security and economic cooperation in and around the Middle East (West Asia). Main Objective: Netanyahu says that this alliance will be against the ‘Radical Shia Axis’ (mainly Iran-backed) and the emerging There will be a strong front against the ‘radical Sunni axis’. This relationship is deeper than IMEC. This alliance is being seen not only from the security perspective, but also as a strategic expansion of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). Its purpose is to promote connectivity and economic development, which will further strengthen India’s role as a ‘Global Power’. Sharp reaction from Pakistan and Hamas As soon as this news came out, there was a stir in the political circles of Pakistan: Pakistan Senate resolution: Pakistan’s Senate unanimously passed a condemnation resolution on Tuesday (24 February). He called it an “alliance against Muslim countries” and called it a threat to regional stability. Opposition to Hamas: Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasim also rejected this plan and called it a move only to serve Israeli interests. Concern of Muslim countries: About 14 countries (Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia etc.) including Pakistan have issued a joint statement expressing deep concern over such polarization. What does it mean for India? Defense experts believe that India has always shied away from ‘factionalism’, but the growing defense and security partnership with Israel (especially in AI and quantum computing) makes India an essential player in this new regional architecture.
