PM Modi Israel Visit: Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Israel is important, Netanyahu said – there will be talk about AI and quantum
Tel Aviv. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Israel on Wednesday on a two-day official visit. His Israeli counterpart Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described this visit as important. According to him, this will increase economic, diplomatic and security cooperation between the two countries. Special focus will be on the areas of high-tech, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and quantum technology.
According to Netanyahu, this will give a new direction to India-Israel relations. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said these things in the weekly cabinet meeting. Netanyahu said, “I also pay close attention to another special area of cooperation. We will advance cooperation in high-tech, AI and quantum.”
As scheduled, he will address the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) in the afternoon, and the two leaders will visit Yad Vashem (World Holocaust Remembrance Center) and attend an innovation event in Jerusalem. Netanyahu talked about forming a strong group against extremism with India.
He said Israel “will create a whole system around or inside the Middle East—actually a kind of hexagon of alliances, including India, Greece, Cyprus and unnamed Arab, African and Asian countries.
He said, “The aim here is to create an axis of countries that, unlike the axis of fundamentalists, look at reality, challenges and goals in the same way. All these countries have a different perspective, and cooperation between us can yield very good results and, of course, it can also solidify our strength and our future.”
Netanyahu has high expectations from PM Modi’s visit. Addressing a conference of major American-Jewish organizations in Jerusalem on February 15, Netanyahu said the two prime ministers were going to discuss “all forms of cooperation.” He said, “Now India is not a small country. 140 crore people live here. India is very powerful and also very popular.”
Let us tell you, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start his two-day visit to Israel on February 25. He is going to Israel after 9 years. The first time he went was in 2017, when it was the first visit of any Indian PM to Israel.
