PM Modi lashed out at Congress, said- infiltrators given leeway for vote bank
Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly attacked Congress in Guwahati on Saturday and said that the party always promoted anti-Assam policies. He alleged that Congress gave a free hand to illegal infiltrators for vote bank, which affected the demography of the state and put the security and identity of Assam in danger.

PM Modi said that his government is correcting these mistakes of Congress and ensuring law and order and conservation of resources in the state. The PM also said that the Himanta Bihari government is working hard to free the resources of Assam from anti-national elements. Illegal infiltrators are being identified and driven out, thereby maintaining peace and security in the state. Modi said this during his two-day visit to Assam.
As part of this tour, the Prime Minister inaugurated the new terminal building of Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, built at a cost of Rs 5000 crore. This terminal is the first airport terminal in the country, whose theme is completely based on nature and reflects the style of bamboo garden. He said that this is a matter of pride not only for the state but for the entire country.
The Prime Minister had also visited Kolkata before visiting Assam. There he addressed a program organized at Ranaghat in Nadia district virtually through phone. Modi said that financial resources are sufficient for development in West Bengal, but the present government of the state is engaged only in cut and commission politics. He termed it against the public interest and said that his government is continuously working for the development and welfare of the people in the state.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also made it clear that his government is committed to protecting the geographical, cultural and economic identity of every state. He appealed to the people of Assam to cooperate in maintaining peace and security, so that both the state and the country can develop smoothly.

Thus, during his visit to Assam, PM Modi blamed the Congress and highlighted the policies and developmental initiatives of his government and talked about the steps being taken towards the security and identity of the state.
