PM Modi lays foundation stone of Kaziranga Elevated Corridor Project at Kaliabor, Assam
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone of the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor Project worth over Rs 6,950 crore at Kaliabor in Nagaon district of Assam. The 86-km-long corridor project is an eco-friendly national highway project. It will have a 35-km-long elevated wildlife corridor that will pass through the Kaziranga National Park.
The Prime Minister also flagged off two new Amrut Bharat Express trains. These include the Kamakhya-Rohtak Amrut Bharat Express and the Dibrugarh-Lucknow (Gomti Nagar) Amrut Bharat Express train.
He said that these new projects will open the doors of prosperity for the people of Assam. Modi said Kaziranga is not just a national park but the soul of Assam.
