News Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday participated in the program organized at Bharat Mandapam in the capital Delhi on the occasion of ‘Veer Bal Diwas’. Veer Bal Diwas is dedicated to remembering the unparalleled sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh’s Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. On the occasion of Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh on 9 January 2022, PM Modi had announced that 26 December every year will be celebrated as Veer Bal Diwas to remember the martyrdom of Sahibzadas, whose unmatched sacrifice will continue to inspire generations. Prime Minister Modi said that India has resolved that we will have to free ourselves from the mentality of slavery. Now the memories of sacrifice and bravery of our Indians will not be suppressed. The heroes and heroines of the country will not be marginalized, and that is why we are celebrating ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ with full enthusiasm. In India, which is free from slavery mentality, our linguistic diversity is becoming our strength. He said, “Gen Z, Gen Alpha… it is your generation that will take India to the goal of a developed India. I see and understand the ability of Gen Z and your confidence, and hence have full faith in you.”

The Prime Minister called for freedom from slavish thinking. He said, “Only ten years are left to completely foil the conspiracy hatched by Macaulay. In these ten years, we will completely free the nation from the mentality of slavery. This should be the collective resolve of 140 crore countrymen. The moment the nation will be free from this mentality, it will feel more proud of being indigenous and will move forward with more determination on the path of self-reliance.”

Addressing the children present at the programme, the Prime Minister said, “Earlier, the youth were afraid to even dream, because in the old system, an atmosphere had been created that nothing good could happen. There was an atmosphere of despair all around. But today the country recognizes the talent and gives them a platform. Due to the success of Digital India, you have the power of internet and learning resources available. Startup India Mission is there for the students who want to move ahead in science, technology or startups. There are many such platforms to take you forward. You just have to remain focused and not get caught up in the glamor of short-term popularity; your goal should be to convert it into the success of the country.”

In his address on this occasion, Prime Minister Modi said, “Today the country is celebrating Veer Bal Diwas. We are remembering those brave Sahibzadas, who are the pride of our India. These Sahibzadas are the symbol of indomitable courage, bravery and bravery of India. They crossed the boundaries of age and condition and stood firm in front of the cruel Mughal Sultanate in such a way that the very existence of religious fanaticism and terror was shaken. He said that Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh had to face the biggest power of that time in their young age.
