Rashtriya Ekta Diwas: PM Modi paid tribute to Sardar Patel in Kevadiya, participated in the Unity Day Parade
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2024 : Today, October 31, is the second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Gujarat. In the morning of which he reached the Statue of Unity in Kevadiya, where he paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. During this, Prime Minister Modi participated in the one day parade.

In fact, every year the birth anniversary (31 October) of the country's first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has been celebrated as National Unity Day. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the world's tallest statue, the Statue of Unity located in Kevadiya. During this he participated in the National Unity Day celebrations. The Prime Minister also administered the Unity Day Pledge and witnessed the Unity Day Parade, which included 16 marching contingents from nine states and one Union Territory Police, four Central Armed Police Forces, NCC and one marching band.
Prime Minister Modi paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel through X Post. He wrote, “My heartfelt tribute to Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. Protecting the unity and sovereignty of the nation was the top priority of his life. His personality and work will continue to inspire every generation of the country.”
