What did PM Modi say while paying tribute to Mahatma Phule?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the great social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his 200th birth anniversary. He said that Phule’s entire life was dedicated to the ideals of equality, justice and education. Modi posted on social media platform ‘X’ and wrote, "The celebrations of the 200th birth anniversary of the great social reformer Mahatma Phule are beginning. He dedicated his entire life to education, knowledge and public welfare."He further wrote, "He was a pioneer in advocating the rights of women and marginalized people. May his thoughts continue to guide everyone towards social progress." The Prime Minister said that due to the efforts of Mahatma Phule, education became a powerful medium of empowerment.
