PM Modi said in the election meeting of Palakkad – There is no election atmosphere in Kerala now, there is a wave of mass movement.

Palakkad, March 29. With the dates of Kerala Assembly elections approaching, political activities have intensified. In this sequence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Palakkad, Kerala on Sunday, where he addressed a huge public meeting.

He credited this change to the hard work of the people of the state and lakhs of workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that many activists have lost their lives due to political violence and he paid tribute to all of them from the stage.

PM Modi said that Kerala is now giving the message of change. He claimed that the popularity of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is continuously increasing and people’s trust in the BJP is getting stronger. Describing the huge crowd present in the meeting as a sign of this change, he said that this is not just an election environment but has taken the form of a mass movement. The youth, women and farmers of the state are now seen standing with BJP and NDA.

Appreciation of Palakkad’s natural beauty and cultural heritage

In his speech, the Prime Minister also appreciated the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Palakkad. He said that Palakkad is called the gateway to Kerala and its greenery, traditions and hardworking people make it special. Referring to the Kalpathy temple, he said that it is often compared to Kashi and being an MP from Kashi, it holds special significance for him.

PM Modi also paid tribute to the social and spiritual heritage of Kerala. He paid tribute to great saints and social reformers like Sree Narayana Guru, Chattampi Swamikal, Mannathu Padmanabhan, Mahatma Ayyankali and Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara. He said that these great personalities have given direction to the social consciousness of Kerala.

Kerala has been stuck in the politics of LDF and UDF for decades.

The Prime Minister also took aim at the current political situation in the state. He alleged that for decades Kerala has been stuck between two major alliances, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF). He said that both the alliances are indulging in vote bank politics and have been ignoring the development of the state. Describing LDF and UDF as corrupt, he said that there has been an informal agreement between the two on sharing of power.

Promised to make ‘developed Kerala’

The Prime Minister also alleged that the Congress and Communist parties were trying to spread confusion by accusing each other of being the B-team of the BJP. He said that from such allegations it has become clear that the real contest is with BJP and the public has now understood this. He expressed confidence that if BJP and NDA government is formed in Kerala, the development of the state will get a new impetus. He promised to make a ‘developed Kerala’ and said that this is his guarantee and the people of the state are ready for this change.

Congress also targeted

PM Modi said that recently there was a big controversy in Kerala regarding the payment of DA and leave dues of government employees. Congress attacks the Left for all this. But even where Congress is in power, the situation is bad. Look at neighboring Karnataka, most of the development works have stopped there too. Himachal Pradesh is also in economic crisis. This is the model of Congress.

He said that Kerala has a debt of more than Rs 5 lakh crore. This figure has tripled in just the last 10 years. Obviously the people of Kerala are demanding answers. Where did all this money go? The answer is clear, it has gone into the pockets of LDF.

PM Modi said, ‘When BJP comes to power in Kerala, we will ensure that corrupt people take back their ill-gotten wealth. Every single rupee will be accounted for and thoroughly scrutinized to ensure that the funds are used only for the genuine development of our state and its people.
