PM Modi said in the joint press conference with Emmanuel Macron – Helicopter made in India will reach the heights of Mount Everest

Mumbai. Describing France as one of the oldest strategic partners of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that to take this trust forward, both the countries have decided to convert the strategic partnership into a special global strategic partnership under which a helicopter unit has been inaugurated in India in partnership with both the countries. He said India and France have also signed an agreement to protect individuals and companies from double taxation.

Along with this, India-France will start AI Center and Digital Science and Technology Center in the health sector. He said that India-France will also start a National Center of Excellence for skill development in the field of aeronautics. He described the India-France partnership as a force for global stability in a time of uncertainty in the world. Modi made these announcements in a joint statement with French President Emmanuel Macron after delegation level and bilateral talks here. The Prime Minister said, “The relations between India and France are very special.

France is one of India’s oldest partners and together with President Macron, we have given unprecedented depth and energy to this strategic partnership.” He said that on the basis of this trust and shared vision, both the countries are establishing their relationship as a special global strategic partnership.

Referring to the inauguration of a helicopter unit in India in partnership between the two countries, he said, “We are proud that India and France together will make the world’s only helicopter that can fly to the heights of Mount Everest in India and export it to the entire world. That means the partnership between India and France has no limits, it can reach from the depths of the ocean to the highest peaks.”

He said that this year is a turning point in the relations between India and Europe and this year we signed the largest and most ambitious free trade agreement in the history of India with the European Union. He said that today we are making an agreement to promote mutual investment so that our people and companies do not have to pay double taxes.

The Prime Minister said that all these initiatives will give new energy to investment, trade and transportation and this is the roadmap for shared prosperity. He said that both the countries will start an AI Center and a Digital Science and Technology Center in the India-France health sector and a National Center of Excellence for skill development in the India-France aeronautics sector will also be started. He said that these are not just institutions, they are platforms that build the future. The Prime Minister said that in this time of uncertainty, the India-France partnership is a force for global stability.
