Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the election rally in Asansol

Asansol. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing an election rally in Asansol, West Bengal, said that the “pot of sins” of Trinamool Congress in Bengal is full. Referring to the economic decline of the state, he said, Bengal’s contribution to the national GDP has declined from 12 percent earlier to just five percent. The Prime Minister said, change of power in Bengal is now inevitable and the people of Bengal want this. The pot of Trinamool’s sins is full. Asansol is ruled by syndicate rule, coal and sand mafia.

He claimed that after the change of power, West Bengal will touch new heights. Modi said, investment has ended from Asansol, which was once a prosperous industrial area. Only BJP’s ‘double engine’ government can improve this.

Modi said the Center has allocated Rs 45,000 crore for the revival of industries in Asansol. Trinamool has brutalized Bengal, the Prime Minister alleged, while BJP developed Asansol despite the obstacles created by the ruling party. Modi emphasized that both Asansol and Durgapur have the potential to become ‘megacities’, and assured that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government will realize that development. He claimed that Bengal is at the forefront in cases of acid attacks. Modi said, Trinamool stands with those who harass women. Only BJP can ensure the safety of women.
