PM Modi will visit Seychelles after 11 years, will stay from 27 to 29 June, how will China’s plan fail with the small country of Africa?
PM Modi Seychelles Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a state visit to Seychelles from June 27 to 29 to attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the National Day of Seychelles. This visit is being considered an important step towards strengthening the strong friendship, maritime cooperation and mutual partnership between India and Seychelles.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, this state visit of PM Modi to Seychelles is taking place on the invitation of President Dr. Patrick Herminie. Prime Minister Modi had earlier visited Seychelles in 2015. This time Seychelles is celebrating the 50th golden jubilee of its National Day, in which Prime Minister Modi will attend as the chief guest. A contingent from the Indian Defense Forces and two warships of the Indian Navy will also participate in the ceremony.
Important for the Global South
During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will hold a meeting with President Herminie. The two leaders will review all areas of cooperation between India and Seychelles and share their views on regional and international issues. During this, Prime Minister Modi will also address the National Assembly of Seychelles and meet the people of the Indian community living there.
India and Seychelles have long had strong and friendly relations. These relations are based on shared history, culture and people-to-people ties. Being an important maritime neighbor in the Indian Ocean region, Seychelles is India’s ‘ocean’ (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions) and our commitment to the Global South.

This visit will further strengthen the deep and strong friendship between India and Seychelles. It will also take forward the shared commitment of both the countries to increase mutual cooperation in every field. Earlier, President Patrick Harmini had congratulated and congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the country’s longest serving elected Prime Minister. On this, PM Modi also expressed his gratitude to Patrick Hermini. PM said thank you for your good wishes.
