PM Modi shows green flag in Meerut, travels with students

Namo Bharat Delhi-Meerut Launch: Today was a historic day for Western Uttar Pradesh. Narendra Modi inaugurated the country’s first Namo Bharat RRTS corridor and Meerut Metro in Meerut. The PM gave a big gift to the region by dedicating development projects worth about ₹12,930 crore to the nation.

Traveled from Shatabdi Nagar to Meerut South

The Prime Minister flagged off Namo Bharat train and Meerut Metro from Shatabdi Nagar station. After this, he himself boarded the train and went to Meerut South Station.

During the journey, PM Modi interacted with students and officials. His easy manner with the children was seen, due to which the atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm.

Country’s first RRTS corridor dedicated to the nation

This is the country’s first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor, which will give a new impetus to connectivity from Delhi to Meerut.

This project will significantly reduce travel time and will benefit lakhs of passengers every day. If you say it in local language, “Now the distance between Delhi and Meerut will be covered in a jiffy.”

Inauguration of projects worth ₹12,930 crore

PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development schemes worth about ₹12,930 crore in Meerut.

These projects include major works related to transportation, infrastructure and urban development. The government claims that this will increase employment opportunities and boost the economy of the area.

CM Yogi welcomed

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath warmly welcomed the PM on the soil of Meerut. He wrote on social media that the PM is continuously busy in making the lives of 1.45 billion people of the country easier.

Describing Meerut as the land of revolution, the CM described it as a historic moment.

Western UP will get new momentum

There will be a big change in the connectivity of Western Uttar Pradesh with the launch of Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro.

Better transport will give a new boost to business, education and employment. Overall, this project is not just a train but a new hope running on the track of development.
