Brics Summit: PM Modi's conversation with Chinese President after 5 years, Prime Minister spoke on these important issues

Kazan: Today is the second day of the BRICS summit held in Kazan city of Russia. Heads of state of all the member countries are participating in this conference. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is representing India in BRICS. The Prime Minister attended two meetings of this conference today. During this, he spoke on major issues like diplomacy, dialogue, war and terrorism. The special thing is that India-China relations are not good. Due to which the heads of state of the two countries had not met for a long time.

This is the first time (5 years) after the clash in Galwan Valley, when the heads of state of China and India are presenting their views on one platform and during this, a one to one meeting is also taking place. On October 21, an agreement was reached between the two countries to reduce tension on the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

'No double standards on terrorism'

During his address, the Prime Minister said that 'BRICS' countries will have to fight together against terrorism. There should not be a double standard on this. He said that we support dialogue and diplomacy, not war and the way we together defeated the challenge like Covid. In the same way, we are fully capable of creating new opportunities for a secure, strong and prosperous future for the future generations.

PM Modi said 4 important things in BRICS

1. India is not in support of war but in support of diplomacy and dialogue.
2.UPI is a huge achievement of India. India is ready to share UPI technology with BRICS countries.
3. Mission Life- I invite BRICS countries to join in the name of Ek Pedre Maa.
4.India has done very good work in digital health. We will be happy to share it with BRICS countries.

40 percent people of BRICS have 30 percent economy

Welcoming the two new countries, the Prime Minister said that 40 percent of the people of BRICS countries represent 30 percent of the economy. We are capable of handling all types of challenges. This organization has achieved many achievements in the last 20 years. He also expressed hope that the BRICS countries will together face global challenges with strength.

Referring to other global problems, the PM said that at present the world is facing challenges like war, economic crisis, climate change and terrorism. In this era of technology, there are different challenges like cyber security, deep fake. In such a situation, there are many expectations about BRICS.

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping said in his address that the world is going through turbulent changes. BRICS countries need to maintain peace. Regarding Gaza and Lebanon, he said that we will have to press for ceasefire. Also regarding Ukraine crisis he said that a solution will be found soon. China is ready to increase cooperation with BRICS countries for green industry, clean energy and green minerals. Also we need to increase mutual cooperation. The representation of Global South countries will have to be increased in BRICS.
