PM Modi spoke to Tariq Rahman : Tariq Rahman led BNP registered a big victory in Bangladesh parliamentary elections. After which it is almost certain that Rahman will become the Prime Minister. Meanwhile, relations between India and Bangladesh are beginning to improve. Actually, there has been a conversation between PM Narendra Modi and Tariq Rehman. According to sources, there was a telephonic conversation between PM Narendra Modi and BNP chief Tariq Rehman on Friday. “It was a pleasure to speak to Mr. Tariq Rahman. I congratulated him on his landslide victory in the Bangladesh elections. I extended my best wishes and support to him in his endeavor to fulfill the expectations of the people of Bangladesh,” PM Modi wrote in the X-Post. He further said, “As two close neighbours, with deep historical and cultural ties, I reaffirmed India’s continued commitment to the peace, progress and prosperity of the peoples of our two countries.”

Earlier, while congratulating Tariq Rahman on his victory, PM Modi wrote in the X Post, “I heartily congratulate Mr. Tariq Rahman for giving a big victory to BNP in the parliamentary elections in Bangladesh. This victory shows the confidence of the people of Bangladesh in your leadership. India will stand in support of a democratic, progressive and inclusive Bangladesh. I look forward to strengthening our many relations and achieving our common development goals.” I look forward to working with you to move forward.”
