PM Modi UAE Visit MBZ Oil Pipeline Project: A major strategic decision has been taken regarding energy security during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to UAE, under which UAE has announced to accelerate a new oil pipeline project bypassing the Strait of Hormuz.

This ‘Mega Plan’ The main objective is to reduce dependence on the sea route under the influence of Iran, so that the supply of oil and gas to the global market can continue safely without any hindrance.

Hormuz option will be ready by 2027

According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, this pipeline will deliver oil to the Gulf of Oman via Fujairah. This project is targeted to be commissioned by 2027. Once the pipeline is fully operational, the UAE’s export capacity via Fujairah will double. It will directly connect Abu Dhabi to the Gulf of Oman, eliminating the need for ships to pass through the disputed Strait of Hormuz. It is noteworthy that the route to Hormuz is closed from March 6, 2026 and ships are passing through there only with the permission of Iran.

Construction work is going on war footing

Crown Prince Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has taken the pipeline construction on a ‘war footing’. Instructions have been given to work on. The UAE is currently in the most trouble due to regional tensions as it has no other safe sea route available for oil exports.
