Maharashtra and Jharkhand Election News in Hindi: Amid the ongoing assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged people of both the states to vote in large numbers to contribute to strengthening the democratic values of the country. Taking to his X account, he urged the people of Maharashtra to actively participate in the assembly elections as voting is taking place in all 288 constituencies on Wednesday.
Voting will be held for all the seats in Maharashtra Assembly elections today. I urge the voters of the state to be a part of it with full enthusiasm and enhance the beauty of the celebration of democracy. On this occasion, there is an appeal to all the youth and women voters to vote enthusiastically.

He said, “Voting will be held today for all seats in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. I urge the voters of the state to be a part of it with full enthusiasm and enhance the beauty of the celebration of democracy. On this occasion, all the youth and women voters enthusiastically vote. There is an appeal to vote.”

Voting for the Maharashtra Assembly elections began at 7 am on Wednesday and will end at 6 pm. Voting is taking place in 288 assembly constituencies. A total of 4,136 candidates are contesting the election, including 2,086 independent candidates. BJP is contesting on 149 seats, Shiv Sena on 81 seats and NCP on 59 seats. At the same time, the second phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections 2024 is also going on in 38 seats of the state. The elections are being held in two phases: the first phase on 13 November and the second phase on 20 November.
