PM Modi participated virtually in the Parliament Sports Festival, encouraged the young participants

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday interacted virtually with the youth participants taking part in the Sansad Sports Festival. He stressed the importance of finding and promoting such youth from across the country who can bring glory to the country. PM Modi said that today the Sansad Sports Festival has become a mass movement. Youth from every background from cities to villages are involved in this. This shows how big its scale is.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that being an MP from Kashi, I have been closely associated with this sports event in my parliamentary constituency. The Prime Minister emphasized that the country will host many major sporting events in the coming years and urged the youth to participate in them. He said that in 2030, India will host the Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad. This will be a great opportunity for young athletes like you. Not only this, India is also trying to host the biggest sports event, Olympics in 2036. The youth who are 10 or 12 years old today will represent India in the 2036 Olympics. He called upon the MPs to identify and promote such talents in their respective constituencies who can bring glory to India on the national and international stage. PM Modi said that we have to find them, promote them and bring them on the national stage now. Sansad Sports Festival can play a very important role in this. Therefore, I would like to tell all the MPs today that this is a big responsibility for you. Find such talents in your constituencies who can bring glory to India at the national and international level and even in the Olympics. Give them all possible help and guide them. The Sansad Sports Festival was organized from 23 December to 25 December. More than a series of competitions, the Sansad Sports Festival is a movement to inculcate the spirit of discipline, teamwork and leadership among the youth. Apart from this, PM Modi expressed happiness on seeing the youth setting new milestones in different sports events this year.
