PM Modi visits LK Advani’s residence to wish him on his 97th birthday
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to veteran BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani on his 97th birthday, offering warm greetings and best wishes.
The meeting took place at Advani’s residence, where the Prime Minister shared his admiration for the BJP stalwart. PM Modi later posted a photograph of the meeting on social media, expressing his respect and gratitude towards Advani.

PM Modi’s heartfelt wishes
In a message shared on X, PM Modi called Advani “one of India’s most admired statesmen.” He highlighted Advani’s significant contributions to India’s development and noted how the leader’s wisdom and experience have shaped the country’s political landscape.
“This year is even more special because Advani ji was conferred the Bharat Ratna for his outstanding service to the nation,” PM Modi said, adding, “I pray for his long and healthy life.”
Amit Shah, other leaders extend greetings
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also sent his best wishes to Advani. In a post on X, Shah praised Advani’s role in building the BJP into a strong and widespread party. He credited Advani for his public service and leadership skills, noting that his work as Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister continues to inspire many.
Former President Ram Nath Kovind also visited Advani on his birthday. Kovind shared a message on X, calling Advani a “legendary statesman” and acknowledging his visionary leadership. He wished Advani good health, happiness and peace.
