‘PM Modi will again ‘surrender’ to America’, why did Rahul Gandhi say this?
Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi once again cornered Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. He claimed in the background of the US Supreme Court’s decision that PM Modi cannot renegotiate the trade agreement and will then surrender to Donald Trump.
The US Supreme Court on Friday canceled orders for sweeping tariff increases imposed by President Trump against several countries. It is believed that this has dealt a major blow to Trump’s economic agenda. The US judges said in their ruling that the Constitution very clearly gives the US Congress the power to impose taxes, which includes tariffs.

‘The Prime Minister has compromised’
Rahul Gandhi posted on Twitter, ‘The Prime Minister has compromised. His betrayal has now been exposed. He can’t renegotiate (the trade deal). He will surrender again.
Why is the question arising?
Let us tell you that on February 2, India and America announced a new trade agreement. The Modi government has made very little information public about the terms and timeline of this agreement. There was no clear response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi or the Indian government on many of the things that US President Donald Trump wrote about this deal on social media.

However, India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said that the details of India’s trade deal with the US are being finalized in the final round of talks. This is the reason why many such questions have arisen due to this deal, answers to which Rahul Gandhi and the opposition are demanding from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
