New Delhi4 June. The tenure of Prime Minister’s Advisor Tarun Kapoor in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has been extended for the second time by one year. His tenure has now been extended till June 10, 2027.

Tarun Kapoor, a retired IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre of 1987 batch, was appointed to the post of advisor to PM Modi in the month of May 2022. After this, when his tenure was about to end in June 2024, the tenure was extended for two years.
Extension shows the confidence of the government
Before joining the PMO, Tarun Kapoor worked as Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas till November 2021. His continued association with the Prime Minister’s Office reflects the government’s confidence in his administrative experience and policy expertise.
