PM Modi’s appeal amid Middle East crisis – ‘Adopt WFH, save petrol and diesel and do not buy gold for a year’

Hyderabad, 10 May. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public meeting in Hyderabad on Sunday evening in the second phase of his tour of three states – Karnataka, Telangana and Gujarat, said many important things regarding the impact of the ongoing war in the Middle East. He also mentioned the Ukraine war and said that the war is having a serious impact on India and even appealed to the countrymen to save petrol and diesel and not buy gold for a year if there is a wedding or any other event at home.

It is noteworthy that due to the tension arising in West Asia due to Iran-America war, a rise in the prices of crude oil is being seen. At the same time, the prices of gold and silver are also continuously increasing. In this sequence, PM Modi said that ‘I appeal to the people not to buy gold for weddings for one year.’

Also mentioned the Corona period

Along with this, Prime Minister Modi also mentioned the Corona period. He said, ‘During the Corona period, we had adopted arrangements like work from home (WFH), online meetings and video conferences. Gradually we also got used to them. Today the need of the hour is that we give priority to those systems again.

‘There is a war going on in the neighbourhood, we have to face this crisis unitedly’

Prime Minister Modi said, ‘For the last two months, there has been a war going on in our neighborhood, which has affected the world as well as India. India does not have large oil reserves and due to the war, the prices of petrol, diesel etc. are skyrocketing. In the current circumstances, there is a need to give special emphasis on saving foreign exchange, hence saving fuel is the responsibility of all of us. The government itself is bearing the entire burden to ensure that citizens are not burdened. We have to face this crisis unitedly.

It is well known that the world is currently going through a major supply chain crisis. The Ukraine war has added to global difficulties. PM Modi said, ‘For the last 5-6 years, our government has been continuously trying to deal with this crisis. Worldwide, a bag of fertilizer is being sold for around Rs 3000, whereas the same bag is being made available to Indian farmers for less than Rs 300.

Meanwhile, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, while sharing PM Modi’s video on social media platform X, wrote, ‘The Prime Minister has appealed to the citizens to reduce the use of petrol and diesel and use public transport wherever possible.’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while targeting Congress and TMC in Secunderabad, said that in this country Congress promoted corruption and nepotism and worked to strangle constitutional institutions. When TMC was formed, it learned all these evils from Congress. Besides, all the bad habits of the Left were also adopted by TMC.

Regarding Bengal elections, PM Modi said that the people of Bengal have defeated such a terrible and dictatorial model of politics, hence there is celebration in the entire country. He further said that from Assam to Odisha and from Bengal to Puducherry, this is not just electoral expansion but is a sign of the change in the political psyche of India, where people are now choosing faithism and not dynastyism.
