PM Modi’s appeal to the countrymen in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ – ‘Take forward the Tricolor campaign in every house’

New Delhi, 26 July. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the 136th episode of radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday, invited countrymen to share ideas and suggestions for his speech on Independence Day. In this sequence, he also appealed that this year also the countrymen should carry forward the spirit of ‘Har Ghar Tricolor’ campaign with unmatched enthusiasm and pride.

PM Modi said in his address, “After a few weeks, we will also celebrate the great festival of our independence. 15th August is a day of pride for every Indian. It is a day to remember those innumerable heroes who dedicated everything for the freedom of ‘Mother India’. Because of their sacrifice and penance, we have the tricolor in our hands today. This tricolor contains the ideals of our Constitution.”

He said, “In the last few years, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has connected the entire country with a wonderful feeling. The celebration of the Tricolor is visible in every house and every street. This year too, we have to carry forward the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with full enthusiasm. Hoist the Tricolor at our homes with full respect.”

Asked for suggestions for his speech on Independence Day

Along with this, the Prime Minister invited the countrymen and said, “Every year before August 15, you send me many ideas and suggestions. This year too, please share your ideas on ‘MyGov’. I am waiting for your suggestions.”

Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam remembered

While remembering Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, PM Modi said, ‘July 27 is the death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. There were many inspiring aspects in Dr. Kalam’s personality. But, closest to his heart was the role of a teacher. He inspired children and youth to dream big.

He said, “Coincidentally, this week we will celebrate the holy festival of ‘Guru Purnima’. Our parents are our first gurus. School teachers give us the knowledge of alphabets. Guru Purnima is an opportunity to express our gratitude to all such gurus. I respectfully salute all the teachers and gurus of the country.”
