PM Modi’s Bangladesh tour cancelled, will attend the swearing in of Lok Sabha Speaker Tariq Rehman…

Recently, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has registered a massive victory in the 13th parliamentary elections of Bangladesh. Tariq Rehman returned from London in December 2025 after 17 years of exile, and is now going to take over as Prime Minister. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was supposed to attend the swearing-in ceremony but now his visit has been cancelled. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will attend the swearing-in ceremony in his place.

Let us tell you, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, a distinguished leader of India, will reach Bangladesh to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of the upcoming Bangladesh Prime Minister Tariq Rahman. The ceremony will be held on February 17 in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, in which the newly elected Prime Minister of Bangladesh Tariq Rahman will take oath.
