PM Modi’s big meeting on Middle East crisis, said – common people should not be affected
Tezzbuzz Desk – Amidst the increasing tension between Iran, Israel and America in the Middle East, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave important instructions in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. He told the ministers that all the ministries and departments should work in coordination with each other, so that the impact of the international crisis is minimal on the common people of India.
The Prime Minister also said that the government should be prepared in advance for every possible challenge and take necessary steps in time. His emphasis was on the fact that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East should not have a direct impact on the country’s economy and the needs of the general public.
War continues on 11th day
In fact, the conflict that started between Iran and Israel has now entered its 11th day. This war, which has been going on since February 28, has affected the energy supply globally. Due to this, concerns regarding the availability of oil and gas have increased in India also.
There are reports of shortage of LPG cylinders in many states, due to which the hotel and restaurant business is also being affected. In such a situation, this instruction given by the Prime Minister to the ministers is being considered as a news of relief for the common people.
Steps to deal with oil and gas crisis
In view of the possibility of energy crisis, the Central Government has changed its strategy regarding the supply of crude oil and gas. To deal with the gas shortage, refineries have been instructed to increase LPG production.
The government has decided to give priority to LPG supply for domestic use. Also, to prevent hoarding and black marketing, the rule of keeping a gap of 25 days between cylinder booking has been implemented.
Apart from this, a special committee has been formed to review the demand for LPG in non-domestic sectors. Imported LPG is being made available to essential institutions like hospitals and educational institutions on priority basis.
Major decisions taken in cabinet meeting
Many important projects were also approved in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday. These include approval for Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0, granting international airport status to Madurai Airport and approval for the elevated road project between Jewar-Faridabad.
Apart from this, two big railway related projects – the fourth railway line between Sainthia to Pakur and the fourth railway line between Santragachi to Kharagpur were also approved. At the same time, a big highway project in Madhya Pradesh also got the green signal from the cabinet.
