PM Modi’s meeting amid West Asia crisis, will review the current situation with senior ministers
Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Wednesday evening review with a group of senior Cabinet ministers the situation arising out of the West Asia conflict and the availability of essential commodities, including food, energy and fuel security of the common people. According to official sources, the meeting is expected to take place after the Prime Minister returns from Assam this evening. The Prime Minister has gone to Assam for the assembly election campaign.
Union ministers who are expected to attend the meeting include Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, S Jaishankar, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, JP Nadda, Ashwini Vaishnav, Manohar Lal Khattar, Pralhad Joshi, K. Rammohan Naidu and Hardeep Singh Puri.
National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, two principal secretaries to the Prime Minister PK Mishra and Shaktikanta Das and Cabinet Secretary TV Somanathan are also expected to attend. Last Sunday, the Prime Minister, in his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, described the situation arising out of the ongoing war in West Asia as “challenging”, and urged all citizens to unite for this “challenge”.
